Sister Juana Inés de la Cruz already spoke of cross-colonial relations in the Loa -Prologue to the mystery play-  Divine Narcissus in 1689, and while this comparison sounds like a sin to the academic purists because the text is not about subcontractors, here's the fragment of the metaphor itself.

Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz ya hablaba de relaciones coloniales cruzadas en la Loa al Divino Narciso en 1689, y si bien esta comparación suena a pecado para los puristas y ciertamente no se refiere a subcontratos, aquí les presento el fragmento de la metáfora misma.
